The project aims to provide scientific and technical insights that will support future policymaking related to animal welfare on farms, during transport, and at slaughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a first step, an <strong>online survey targeting competent authorities and policymakers from European Union Member States and candidate countries<\/strong> has been launched. The survey seeks to gather information on current animal welfare monitoring practices, including the types of data collected, monitoring methods, reporting channels, inspection frequency, and the needs for improved real-time monitoring systems.<br>The information collected will contribute to a better understanding of the needs and expectations of competent authorities and policymakers, helping to shape more effective and innovative approaches to animal welfare monitoring throughout the food production chain. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and all responses will be processed anonymously and in full compliance with GDPR requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RAWC invites all competent authorities, policymakers, and other relevant stakeholders involved in animal health and welfare to participate in this initiative by completing the survey and sharing it within their professional networks.
