The role of the RAWC is defined in the ToR as follows: to provide a <strong>scientific<\/strong>, <strong>practical<\/strong> and <strong>ethical<\/strong> <strong>advice<\/strong> to the <strong>key stakeholders<\/strong> on AW issues and to coordinate the activities in the <strong>Balkan region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>RAWC has two&nbsp;major objectives:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective<\/strong><strong> 1<\/strong> &nbsp;\u2013 Based on specific EU legislation and&nbsp; internationally agreed guidelines \u2013 <strong>collect<\/strong> and <strong>analyse<\/strong>existing data in Balkan region to <strong>develop<\/strong> <strong>scientific<\/strong> <strong>advice<\/strong> in implementing the EU legislation related to uneven spread of knowledge in different parts of the Balkan region; and<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective <\/strong><strong>2<\/strong> \u2013 Based on specific EU legislation \u2013 <strong>develop<\/strong> and <strong>implement strategies<\/strong> based on the <strong>transfer of knowledge<\/strong> and expertise to <strong>competent authorities<\/strong> and <strong>stakeholders<\/strong> in order to improve the level of understanding of the legislation and its implementation and enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>To be able to meet this Objectives, RAWC has defined its development&nbsp;<a title=\"Strategy\" href=\"https:\/\/rawc.eu\/?p=21%20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">STRATEGY <\/a>and specific tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Based on the conclusions of meeting held in Teramo in the April of 2012, Regional Animal Welfare Centre (RAWC) was formed and Terms of Reference (ToR) were&nbsp;signed by 5 different countries from the region (Competent authorities, Universities and Institutes).
